Alexander Francis McDougall, born July 18, 1946, passed away on September 6th, 2025, at the age of 79. After a long struggle with illness, he peacefully chose medical assistance in dying, finding freedom from pain and rest in the love of God. 

He is survived by his children Tami (Mike) Ryder, Jodi (Noah) Gellard, Candice (Jordan) Marcotte, Clint (Sherri) Thompson, and his cherished grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Olivia, Kaige, Jaegar, Bradly, Cassandra, Joel, Austin, Jayden, Brodyn, and Dylan. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Rita McDougall, and his son Cory Thompson. 

Alexander loved his family deeply and spent his last decade walking dogs, a role that brought him so much joy.

There will be a Funeral Service held at Saskatoon Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13th at 1:00pm. Located at 338 4th Avenue North, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. 

There will be a private family interment at a later date.
