Arthur "Barry" Dearle ~ September 17, 1951 - July 19, 2025
"Dancing with his angel, riding with the wind."

Barry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones following a brave battle with cancer. Barry was born to parents Arthur Norman Dearle and Margaret "Peggy" Mary Bonner.

Predeceased by his parents Norm and Peggy Dearle; his wife Bonnie; cousins Brad Bonner, Vicky Lynn Ryan, Robert Hansen and Gary Dearle; niece, Kara Dearle; and nephew, Chad Davison.

Barry grew up actively involved in minor hockey, baseball, and Gymcana. His parents were always supportive of his activities. He went on to play junior hockey as a goaltender for the Melville Millionaires. Years later, his son Graham would also play for the Millionaires, making them the first father-son duo to do so. Barry gave back to his community by coaching in Moosomin Minor Hockey, refereeing, and coaching minor baseball. Though often concerned that he was "too hard" on his players, he only ever wanted them to give their best.

Barry married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Bonnie Jean Lynd, on September 21, 1974. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three children: Lyndsay, Graham, and Morgan. Both Barry and Bonnie were deeply involved in their community and in the countless activities their children took part in. They were their kids' greatest cheerleaders, travelling across North America to support them in doing what they loved.

Early on, Barry worked at the Rocanville Potash Mine, though he eventually realized this wasn't his "cup of tea." He later pursued photography, a passion that allowed him to meet countless people, many whom he kept in touch with over the years. He was proud to have some of his work showcased nationally.

After Bonnie's passing in 2006, Barry embraced a long-held, quiet passion: breeding and showing Arabian horses. It became a meaningful and fulfilling part of his life.

Above all, Barry was most proud of his children and grandchildren. From hockey rinks, soccer and football fields to gymnasiums and rodeo arenas, "Grandpa Barry" never missed a chance to show up. He was his grandkids' loudest and most loyal cheerleader, and never missed an opportunity to say just how proud he was of each one of them.

Barry is survived by his children: Lyndsay (Brian), Graham (Jamie), and Morgan (Brandon); and his beloved grandchildren: Alexandra, Benjamin, Hadley, Ivy Mae, Crosby, Emery, and Sydney. He also leaves behind his siblings: Barb (Larry), Connie (Tim), and Glenn (Andrea); along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation, or the Moosomin and District Health Care Foundation - CT Scanner Fund.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the MCCC in Moosomin on Tuesday, July 29 at 2:00pm. Feel free to come wearing your best "Canadian Tuxedo"-Barry's signature look for many years.
