Bradley Zelinsky

It is with unimagineable sadness & loss, I announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Brad Zelinsky on May 8, 2025 at the age of 49 in Saskatoon, SK.

Brad was born in 100 Mile House, BC and raised in Saskatoon, SK. He attended Walter Murray and City Park High Schools.

Brad was an excellent and natural athlete and enjoyed weight lifting, wrestling and playing hockey as well as several other sports. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing, ice fishing, hunting and searching for antler sheds from deer, elk and moose. Almost nothing could keep him from his favorite pastimes and he was very obviously & visibly happy, relaxed & at peace any time he was in his element.

In Nov 2001, Brad met Bliss and they quickly fell in love. He moved in with her 3 months later, were engaged Christmas Eve 2004 and married on Sept 3, 2005. They were just under 4 months from celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary and a little over 6 months from their 24th year as life partners when Brad passed. Bliss will forever miss him and hold him in her heart as the love of her life. They were proud of their relationship which was based on trust, honesty, love, commitment and partnership. Although Bliss is devastated at the loss of Brad, she is honored to have been his wife and that they kept their vows, including "until death do us part".

Brad worked several heavy labor jobs with Cindercrete, Weldon's Concrete, Roughneck for Oil Rigs, Paving roads as a labourer for several companies and Building Maintenance man, until a back injury at work in Sept 2005 resulted in a permanent functional impairments and, led to upgrading for his Grade 12 GED and Power Engineering- Fireman and Level 5 certificates at SIAST, before he settled into his last job as Caretaker with the Saskatoon Public School Board in Oct 2012, where he really enjoyed working and got along very well with his co-workers, who appreciated Brad's hard work, commitment to his job and attention to detail.

Brad was a kind, helpful, good hearted and happy go lucky guy. He was willing and happy to help family and friends whenever he could. Brad was a loving, caring, sensitive and attentive husband & partner. He was a hard worker and felt good after putting in a hard day's work & taking pride in a job well done. Brad was also an animal lover, especially dogs, most he shared with his wife, Bliss.

Brad is survived by his loving & supportive wife, Bliss Zelinsky (nee Tenning) and their dog Twitch; stepdad George Hume; sister Kelly Zelinsky; Grandmother Mary Christianson and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, step-family and in-laws.

Brad is predeceased by his mother Donna Zelinsky; father Wesley Zelinsky; Aunt Daryl Zelinsky; Grandma Zelinsky and mother-in-law Bernie Tenning.
