Brent Douglas Sweeney

Brent Douglas Sweeney, age 63, rode off this earth on August 7, 2026 after a fierce battle with cancer. Brent was born on October 8, 1962 in Saskatoon, Sk. to Albert and Lyla Sweeney, and passed away in Humboldt Hospital surrounded by family. Brent lived a full and happy life and always had a story to tell or someone to tease. He loved to talk about his days working on the railway and his time spent in Kakabeka Falls, Ontario. Brent was famous for his long "biker beard" and tattoos. He had a love of building and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, so much that his wife often joked that he loved them more than his family. For over 25 years Brent was well known at the Saskatoon coffee shops for his frequent visits with his "bro", Monty Harder. It was there, that Brent and Tracy met in 2003, and later married in Humboldt in 2005 where he lived by the motto, "Happy Wife, Happy Life". They made an amazing team during their 23 years together.

Brent is survived by his loving wife, Tracy and their children, Lyla, Jake, Daniel and David (Ashlin). He had one brother, Darren Sweeney (Rose Kocher), but also found himself at home with his "in-laws" (whom he called "out-laws"), Janice, Randy, Amanda (daughter, Aerionna) and Brian (Dee) Fischer. He was loved by everyone and his laughter and jokes will be missed by his family and friends.

Brent was pre-deceased by his parents, Albert and Lyla Sweeney; father-in-law, Dan Fischer; best biking buddy, Kevin Bowie; special uncles, Don Hamilton and Tom Sweeney; as well as many other aunts, uncles, and friends.

Brent left this world while listening to Ozzy Osbourne's, "Mama, I'm Coming Home". His song may have ended, but his melody lingers on.

As per Brent's wishes, there will be no funeral.
