It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of beloved husband, dad and grandpa, Bryan Zeman, on November 14, 2024 at the age of 82 in hospital, surrounded by people he loved, and who loved him.
He was born on July 15th, 1942 in Belleville, Ontario. The family returned to Davidson, Saskatchewan where he attended Elementary, and High school, graduating in 1960. He continued his education at the University of Saskatchewan, where he received a Bachelor's of Arts, and then continued into a Bachelor's of Education. He built his education into a 25-year career in the Public Education Systems of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He started his teaching career in Climax, SK as principal of the elementary school, before moving to Manitoba where he was Head of the English Department in Cranberry Portage. He then had an amazing opportunity to move to Oo Za We Kwan, MB, where he was the principal of Brooks School. He moved back to Saskatoon, SK where he began a new and exciting career opportunity with the Saskatchewan Department of Justice as a teach-er/therapist in 1984 until his retirement in 2011.,
Bryan is survived by his loving wife, Sandra, of 59 years; as well as his son Scott (Jordan and their children Morgan and Teagan) and daughter Shannon (Glen and their children Emily and Samantha). Siblings: Don (Mike), Heather (Roger); In-laws: Brad (Brenda), Faye (Allan), Kevin (Kim), Randy (Liz); and many nieces and nephews whom he cherished dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Peggy Zeman, and parents-in-law, Miff and Irene Edgerton.
He was a life-long educator, focused on humanistic, comprehensive education and responsible communications.
His greatest passion was spending time with his family and especially his four granddaughters whether it was watching their activities or reading books with them.
He loved golfing and over his lifetime he scored 7 holes in one, but was still working on perfecting his stroke.
He also enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, painting, writing, reading challenging books, gardening, renovations, playing bridge and laughing with friends. Over the last few years, he spent a lot of time completing many Sudoku puzzles, his daily Wordle, Canuckle and beating his wife at crib.
