Roles, Craig March 4, 1964 - November 11, 2024
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Craig Francis Roles on November 11, 2024 at the age of 60. He ended his journey peacefully surrounded by family at St. Paul's Hospital Saskatoon palliative care unit. Craig remained a hero during his short 9 month battle with cancer.
Craig is predeceased by his mother Shirley Roles (Freistadt/1975); his second mother Joy Roles (Kjelshus/2019); his older sister Nadine Freeman (Roles/2022) and both grandparents Nick and Elizabeth Freistadt; Francis and Elizabeth Roles.
Craig leaves behind to cherish his memory his dad Clifford Roles (Melfort Sask.); sisters Sherri Roles/Paul (Edmonton Ab), Lana McDonald/Rob (Saskatoon); Lianne Gallais/Mike (Milestone Sask) and numerous family and friends.
He dedicated 41 years to his career at CNR. He had finally chosen to retire October 31, 2024. Craig was a well respected leader to his co-workers. They were a tight group of friends over the years.
Craig had a full and wonderful life being a bachelor. His sense of humor was unmatched. He was an expert fisherman, an avid motorcyclist and loved nature on his bicycle through Saskatoon streets and river valley. He was a music enthusiast, enjoying all genres of music from country to heavy metal. Craig was an amazing cook that he delighted in making his favorite foods for all to savor. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved a good laugh and was happiest when he could bring a smile to "the babies", his great nieces Layla and Lainy.
Craig lived his life always with a smile on his face, love in his heart, kindness in his soul and will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
Thank-You Craig, for your kindness and all your love and support. We are so grateful we had you in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care unit C/O of St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, 1702- 20th Street West Saskatoon Sask. S7M 0Z9.
