Danielle Marie Bourque

March 9, 1950 — February 5, 2026

Danielle Bourque, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026 at the age of 75 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Danielle was born in Val d’Or, Quebec on March 9, 1950 and moved at a young age to Elliot Lake, Ontario where she spent her formative years. Over a couple years she lived in mining towns in South Africa, Australia and Quebec before moving to Saskatoon in 1981.

Danielle lived life with heart, grit, and generosity. She loved the open road and could often be found riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle with her Women in the Wind group, embracing the freedom and joy it brought her. That same spirit showed up in everything she did-strong, independent, and full of life.

She also had a deeply caring side and spent countless hours knitting tuques and mitts for those in need, quietly giving warmth and comfort to people she might never meet. It was simply who she was: someone who saw a need and filled it without hesitation. Danielle loved gathering with others, especially around a table of cards. Playing cards was more than a pastime for her-it was about connection, laughter, and time spent with people she cared about, especially her grandchildren.

Above all else, Danielle was a devoted mother who loved her children fiercely and unconditionally. Her strength, kindness, and generosity will continue to guide and inspire her family and all who knew her.

Danielle is survived by her son Marc (Vanessa) and granddaughter Wynter; daughter Michele (Greg) and grandchildren Conrad & Callie; daughter Angele (Mike) and grandchildren Ainsley & Karter; her sisters Celine (Eduard), Diane (Phil), Louise (John) & Pauline (George, pre-deceased); sister in laws Joni & Jerry; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who all adored her. She was predeceased by her parents Lucien and Ange-Aimee, her brothers Rick, Al, and Claude.

A celebration of Danielle's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites acts of kindness to be done in her memory, especially helping those in need.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit rides on-in every open road, every hand-knit stitch, and every shared game of cards. Rest peacefully Danielle.
