Donald Glen Stewart

With deepest sadness we announce the passing of Don Stewart, aka Steve Elliot, aka Foot, aka in his later years Bumpa, being 76 years young, in his home.

Don is survived by his daughter Larissa Wiebe and granddaughters Haylee and Lili, also by his brother Bob Stewart as well as many cousins, nieces and nephew along with an abundance of friends.

Don was predeceased by his mother Mary and father Bill Stewart (obviously) as well as his wife Carol Stewart.

Don joined this world in his birthday suit on September 9th, 1949 only to have been able to share many memories with all his school buddies from King George and Bedford Road as well as many others after his school years. Throughout his life's journey he has had a lasting impact on so many people, he will be truly missed.

Don's legacy is the immense impact he had on the music industry in Saskatchewan. He sat on the board of the Saskatchewan Music Association for many years as well as being a voice of radio for CJWW, the beloved "Steve Elliot".

Don played in many bands, playing the guitar as well as singing and was often seen at many jam sessions. He also loved golfing and played in pool leagues as well as dart leagues. One of his favorite times of the day was listening to his grandchildren everyday about the goings on of school.

His Celebration of Life will be held at the Army, Navy and Airforce Veterans, 359 1st Avenue N on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 2:00-7:00. Donations are asked to be given to a charity of your choosing as he would never want to decide what matters to you.
