Dwayne James Wilson

November 14, 1933 — November 21, 2025

Dwayne James Wilson lived 92 full years with a spirit that could be summed up simply: he worked hard, and he played hard. Born and raised in a small town he grew up helping at the family hotel and grain elevator, learning early the value of responsibility, community, and determination.

On May 20, 1955, Dwayne married the love of his life, Elaine (Atkins). Together they raised five children: Brian (deceased, wife Ann), Bill (wife Jo-Ann), Barry (wife Jodie), Bev (husband Brent), and Bonnie (husband Guy). He was a devoted grandfather/papa to Devin (deceased), Brett (partner Duncan), Emily (partner Mike), and Hillarie (husband Ethan). Brother Gerry (Lois, Donna and David and families).

Dwayne began his career with the PFRA and was especially proud to have contributed to the construction of the Gardiner Dam. He later moved to Saskatoon, where he worked for several engineering companies before finishing his career as a project manager, overseeing major renovation projects with Federal Public Works and the construction of the Healing Lodge in Maple Creek.

Dwayne cherished time spent at the family cabin at Emma Lake, in every season. He loved his years wintering in Mesa, Arizona, and treasured every moment teaching his grandchildren life lessons - always with a mix of wisdom, patience, and fun. Later in life, he discovered the identity of his biological father, a brother (deceased), two nephews, and another niece - a meaningful chapter for him.

At Dwayne's request, there will be no funeral. A private family interment will take place in the spring.

A very special thanks to the exceptional team at St. Paul's palliative care for the compassion and support.

A life well lived, and loved by many.
