The family of Edith Snyder and saddened to announce her passing on September 18, 2025 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Edith is survived by her loving husband, William Snyder; daughter, Dianne Genereux, husband Peter and grandson Lucas; son, Ryan Snyder, wife Rae-Lyn and granddaughters, Grace, Emma and Avery; and sister, Joyce Harmacy, husband John, their sons Gavin and Scott and their families . She is predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Ernie McColm; and stepfather, Paul Ausborn. Edith was born December 27, 1945 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. She spent her younger years in Winnipeg and attended St. John's High School, where she met her husband, Bill. They dated all through her 3 years of Nurses training at Grace Hospital and married the year she graduated in 1966. They had 2 children, Dianne and Ryan. Edith worked at Grace Hospital until they moved to Saskatoon in 1981, where she worked at City Hospital as an R.N. until she retired in June of 2004. Edith enjoyed volunteer activities with Prairie Lily, Good Sam Club, planting flowers at Watrous Regional Park and Camp Easter Seal. She belonged to St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Edith also enjoyed curling and took up golf after she retired. RV'ed ever since she was married - tent, trailer and fifth wheel. Travelled from one coast of Canada to the other. Edith went on many cruises - to the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico and the South Pacific. In the winter she loved a nice warm destination travelling to Hawaii, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Jamaica. Edith especially loved the trip to Jamaica with her family and loved the times spent camping with her kids and grandkids. Edith spent many winters in Mesa and made many friends, especially Pat and Les Belan from Edmonton, AB. A Memorial Reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at The Edwards Family Centre - 333 4th Ave. N., Saskatoon. Courtesy parking available across the street at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
