Fredrick Wallace Kolbert

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fredrick Wallace Kolbert of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 84 on Friday February 27, 2026.

Fredrick was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba & always remained a proud “Northender” at heart. He carried the spirit of his roots with him throughout his life & was known for his warmth, loyalty & deep love for family & friends.

Fredrick will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Gina Rodrigue; his daughter Kimberly (Wade) Putland; and Kimberly’s mother & Fredrick’s former spouse, Stella Kolbert. He was a proud & devoted Papa to his granddaughter Jessica (Chris) Lewgood & grandson William (Katelyn) Putland, and cherished great-grandfather (Papa) to Lyla & Lane Lewgood and Oliver Putland.

He will also be dearly missed by his close friends Barbara Banks, Denise Bonthoux, Bill Thompson, Rod & Yvonne Thome and David Parkinson & April Sora, whose friendship meant so much to him over the years.

Fredrick was predeceased by his parents Walter & Eleanor (nee Burke) Kolbert, his brother Kenneth (Skip) Kolbert, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and special childhood friend Leon Oreniuk.
