Garth Howat

(May 31, 1962 - June 12, 2025)

The family of Garth would like to announce his sudden passing after a long battle with Crohn's disease.

Left to mourn are his children: Lana (Tyler) Moffat, Kylene (Dustin) Howat and Jay (Kachiri) Howat.

His grandchildren: Ethan MacDonald, Allie MacDonald, Kaebry Moffat, Karson Moffat, Xander Howat, Nick Pilon, Alex Pilon, Brooklyn Doole, Inara Pilon, Ebin Howat & Aubree Howat.

His siblings: Norm Howat, Lyle (Cyndie) Howat, Ward (Linda) Howat, Evelyn (Brian) Zbesheski, Greg (Terry) Howat, and Norma Howat. Numerous nieces and nephews and close family friends.

Garth was predeceased by his parents Ken & Mildred Howat, his brother in law, Logan Stumph, close friends Kirk Hunt & Erwin Wiegers and of course, his beloved furry friend, KJ.

As per his wishes, there will be no funeral held. The family would like to extend many thanks to all the wonderful staff at RUH who took care of Garth in his final days, as well as the many professionals who helped him at some point over the years with his Crohn's.
