James Martin Frost

Jim (James) Martin Frost passed away in his home on Easter morning, April 5 2026. He was predeceased by his parents, Ronald Frost and Shirley Frost (Sitar). Especially important to him were also his Uncle Don and Aunt Hilda Robertson.

Jim grew up in the Eastview area of Saskatoon and remembered drives to Winnipeg to visit family. He loved the outdoors and many good times at Turtle Lake. He started learning the trade of computer sales at the age of 13. As a young man he became a father to his daughter Courtney. Throughout his life he enjoyed basketball and shot many hoops with friends and family.

For nearly 20 years, Jim was married to Stephanie (née Baribeau) and they have a daughter, Sophia Frost who loves her papa very much and misses him greatly.

Jim was always looking out for everyone around him and was passionate about helping others to experience life to the fullest. Jim used to say, there are 3 ways to do something: The Right Way, The Wrong Way, and the Jim Frost way, which is the wrong way - only faster. He chose the road less travelled, as the poet would say. Jim had a poetic spirit himself, one that valued community and enjoying the simple things.

Jim's work in the Saskatoon business community was very important to him. He sought to give people not just material possessions, but experiences and memories. Jim extended his aunt's adage to everyone he worked with: Friends are family and family are friends. He cared for everyone around him and always put others first.

Jim wouldn't want to leave us in sad spirits. The opposite, he said this many times over the years: "I want my funeral to go like this. They would say, 'Remember the first three letters of funeral are F-U-N. Now everybody put on your 3D Glasses!" It's up to our imaginations to what comes next! The family would like to ask you to do something fun in your own way in celebration and honour of Jim. Donations can be made to a charitable organization that is important to you.
