In Loving Memory of Jean Beverly Kilmartin (Warriner)

Born on October 15, 1938, in Victoria, BC, Jean Beverly Kilmartin (Warriner) lived a full yet simple life, marked by love, adventure, and kindness. On her final journey, she passed peacefully at Glengarda Hospice in Saskatoon in 2025, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories and the legacy she leaves behind.

Jean’s heart belonged to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her three children—Susan (Dale), Jason (Audrey), and Tony—and her five grandchildren: Katie (Taylor), Rebecca (Wesley), Blake (Kaitlyn), Seth, and Zetta. Her siblings, Doug (Linda) and Dale (Anita), survive her, while she is reunited in peace with Mother and Father Vera and Bert Warriner and siblings, Cryil, Brenda, Bruce, Bess, and Madge.

Jean found joy in the simple pleasures of life—growing vegetable gardens, downhill skiing, the soothing embrace of the ocean, and, above all, the laughter and company of her grandchildren. Her hands were rarely still, often busy knitting blankets that would wrap her loved ones in warmth and comfort for years to come.

Her later years were spent at Scott Forget Tower in Saskatoon, where she served as the social convener, forging many friendships and brightening the lives of those around her. Jean’s career was as varied as her interests: she worked at the Royal Bank, Enderby Hospital, and even operated a bed and breakfast in Costa Rica, always bringing her gentle spirit and dedication to every endeavor.

Jean’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

As per Jean’s wishes, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. Her final resting place will be the ocean near Port Moody, BC, where her ashes will be spread in the Burrard Inlet, returning her to the place she loved.
