From the moment he made his debut on February, 14, 1947 in Brantford, Ontario until his final appearance on May 24, 2025 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Kenneth John Marco lived a life full of love for all mankind that was joyfully expressed through his first and everlasting language of music.
Ken started his life as a professional musician, at the age of 17, developing a long and storied career playing on the road and the stage with The Beau Keys, Grant Smith & the Power, Dr. Music, Motherlode, Blood, Sweat and Tears, David Clayton-Thomas, Cotton, The Ken Marco Trio. While living in California, Ken played guitar for Etta James on her 1973 album and sat in with Doc Severinsen and the Tonight Show Band. His talent took him on many adventures and created everlasting memories that fed his soul.
Born to Frank Marco and Anne DeFrancisco, Ken was fortunate to have three older loving brothers, William (who passed in 2009), Joseph (Joan) and Frank (Darlene). Kenny had boundless love for his wife, Judith Anne Chiki; her daughters, Kerry Anne Fox, Kimberley Anne Fyfe and Lesley Anne Reynolds. He was THE coolest Grandpa for Brydan Connor Reynolds, Olivia Anne Sarich, Louis Pearse Sarich and Greyson Edward Sarich. Grandpa Kenny loved taking all his grandchildren on adventures across Western Canada "camping in the bosom of Mother Nature". Ken had very special relationships with his two sons-in-law, Danial Brent Reynolds and Richard James Fyfe, despite them not being Red Wing fans.
Thank you to Sierra, AJ, Dr. Kumar and Dr. McMillan at RUH for the support and care they gave our Dad.
