Lynnett passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 58, with her mother and worker at her side. Lynnett Marie Boris (nee Machushek) was born in Canora Union Hospital on March 27, 1967 to Ed and Dora Machushek (nee Wall). Lynnett grew up in Rhein, Sask. and attended Rhein Elementary School from Grades 1 to 6. She then rode the school bus and attended Yorkdale Junior High School in Yorkton (grades 7-9) and went onto the Yorkton Regional High School (grades 10-12.) She was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Rhein, where she was confirmed. After high school she moved to Yorkton and took Early Childhood Development classes and worked at the Lion's school as an Educational Assistant. In 1995 she moved to Saskatoon and continued working in various schools as a EA, and she also worked at Parkridge Nursing Home with disabled children. She worked at the Department of Agriculture at the University or Saskatchewan. She belonged to the Paraplegic Association, Life Without Barriers, Spinal Cord Injury Group, the NDP and others, with which she volunteered large amounts of her time. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Saskatoon. In 2006 she met the love of her life, Mark Boris. They married on August 12, 2006 and lived in Kinley, Sask. Mark passed away in October 2008. Lynnett moved back to Saskatoon and she worked at Northern Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre for a number of years. Lynnett enjoyed travelling, camping and strolling along the river. She enjoyed visits with family, especially her niece Alyssia and nephew Ty. She was predeceased by her husband Mark, grandparents Sam and Lena Machushek, and Jake and Ann Wall. She leaves to mourn her parents Ed and Dora Machushek, sister Lori-Ann Stenhouse (Darin), niece Alyssia and nephew Ty, in-laws Betty and Brian Boris and her sister-in-law Erin Boris. She also leaves many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place in spring 2026, when there is better accessibility.
