Marlin Bourelle

March 12, 1962 — May 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marlin (Marty) Marlowe Bourelle announces his peaceful passing on May 19, 2025, at the Royal University Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on March 12, 1962, in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Marty lived a life rich in adventure, laughter, and love. In 1978, he moved with his family to Mayfair, Saskatchewan. In 1983, he married Louella Bourelle (Youst), and together they raised four children who became the pride of his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Marty found joy and peace in nature-whether hunting, fishing, enjoying a fire, or working with his hands. His quick wit and sense of humor could brighten any room, leaving lasting impressions and unforgettable laughter.

In 2012, Marty met his beloved partner, Yvette Forcier, and in 2013, he moved to an acreage outside of Hague, Saskatchewan, where they built a life together surrounded by nature and love.

Marty's life was defined by kindness, quiet resiliency, integrity, and a tireless work ethic -values he instilled in his children and lived by every day. He faced his battle with cancer with the same spirit: fierce, determined, and courageous. His heart was as big as his personality, with a mischievous grin and a stubborn streak that carried him through life's toughest moments.

He is lovingly remembered by Yvette Forcier; his parents, Art and Alice Bourelle; his children, Beau (Jaelyn) Bourelle, Keegan Bourelle, Desiree Bourelle, and Janaya (Garett) Kohl; and his treasured grandchildren: Berklee, Banner, Brayalee; Greyson and Liv; Mia, Rayna, and Gunnar. He also leaves behind his siblings: Marvon (Char) Bourelle, Anita (Don) Michaud, Hali (Pat) Ricard, Gina (Eric) Krebes, Guy (Lynnette) Bourelle, and Susan (Mark) Rattai, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were dear to him.

Marty was predeceased by his grandparents, Philip and Amy Bourelle, Howard and Etta Mae Critchlow, and one cherished niece, Brooklyn Rattai.

Marlin will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever held close in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life for Marty(Marlin) will be held on August 2, 2025, from 1-9 PM as a come-and-go gathering at the acreage northeast of Hague, located at 41401-41537 Range Rd 3022, Alvena, SK S0K 0E0, Canada (NE 22-41-02 W3rd). A service with the deacon will begin at 3 PM, with food available throughout the day.
