Bob Mumm

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Walter Mumm on August 8, 2026, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 91.

Born in Prince Albert on June 1, 1935, Bob lived a life defined by hard work, a deep love for baseball, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Bob built a long and respected 35-year career with CN, working in Melfort from 1954 to 1965, and later transferring to Saskatoon, where he worked until his retirement in 1987.

Once retired, Bob could usually be found enjoying the outdoors either on the golf course or at a baseball diamond. Whether he was behind home plate umpiring games, sitting in the stands in a MLB stadium, or cheering in front of the TV, he was a devoted fan of his beloved St. Louis Cardinals, a loyalty he proudly held for 81 years.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie; his daughter, Kim Calvert (Ken); his grandchildren, Amanda Mumm (Willie), Rheya Buller (Brent), Caitlyn Calvert, Connor Calvert, and Dustin Neufeld; his great-grandchildren, Kian, Zayden, and Brynlee and cousins Phyllis and George all of whom brought him immense joy.

He was predeceased by his mother, May; his father, Arthur; his brother, Jim; and his daughter, Lorie.

Bob's steady presence, sharp wit, and deep love for his family will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of His life at 2:00 PM Friday, August 14, 2026 at Prairie View Chapel, Highway 11 South and Prairie View Road.
