Wayne was predeceased by his parents Stewart and Ivy Durham, in-laws Larry and Peggy Lockert, sister Elaine Morgan and nephew Russell Morgan.
Wayne was born and raised in Delisle, Saskatchewan. He met Julie and they settled down on the farm in August of 1973 where they raised their children. Throughout his life, Wayne's focus was always on family and farming.
His greatest loves were spending time with family especially his granddaughter, farming, cattle, travelling and attending sporting events. Wayne spent many years volunteering in the community coaching basketball, sitting on various boards (Elks, Co-op, RM council, Charolais Association), and leading the local Beaver troupe.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Royal University Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care.
At Wayne's request no public memorial will take place.
A private gathering for friends and family will be held at the Delisle Senior's Centre on October 4, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. There will be words of remembrance at 2:00pm. Please come and share your stories about Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society of Saskatchewan.
