William Wray Miller

William Wray Miller passed away on September 25, 2026 Saskatoon at Royal University Hospital at age 86.

He is survived by his wife Janis Miller, daughter Gina Yesnik, many Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild.

Born in Lenore Manitoba, he was raised on a family farm, raising livestock and grain. After High School he became a Radio Traffic Controller with the government in Nunavut and Resolute Bay for three years during the time of the Cold War. The Inuit community embraced him taking him on seal, bear and whale hunts. When he came out he married Janis Halliday. They were married in 1965 and had two daughters; Gina and Leah.

He was a member of AA for 50 years and helped so many people overcome their addictions. He loved to paint, fish, hunt and be in nature. There are many fond memories of hiking through the mountains and fishing in the creeks and rivers. He was a gentle man, a kind and loving husband and father and was always helping people.

In keeping with William's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations, for those so wishing, can be directed to the MS Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
